Why?
I'm so glad you asked. Frankly, 1 has been a NIGHTMARE. Everyone we know says how "great" he is compared to other kids his age... Oh how i envy the time you spend with my child. Then again, we were BLESSED with my oldest being such a do-gooder, and pleaser, that we might be a bit "numb" to reality of boys.
I knew from the begining Brice would be trouble.
How so?
It all started when my husband wanted to name him Dexter after.. yup.. the TV show. Next boy's name will be Dexter (PRAY FOR US!).
When we finally decided on Brice, it was because hubby's brother wanted to name a son "Rice" when he was younger.. he also had cats whom he named "plantsomeseeds" and "picksomeflowers"... Aiden takes after him... Sophia's first name.. before we knew she was a girl, was apparently "where". <<<SIIIGGGHH.
Back to Brice, his middle name is Holleran. Right there... is when I KNEW he was going to be football material.. and football players are either TOUGH, or bench warmers.. and my kids no bench warmer.
Flash forward to our cross-country move from Washington state to Virginia when I was 6 months pregnant, and his escape attempt at 33 weeks.. I knew I was in for it. At 33 weeks I was already in labor, and 2 1/2-3 cm dialated. Given pain medication, contraction medication (the kind that stops "progress".. not the actual contractions) and I was sent home to labor on bedrest for 4 weeks... until the stinker decided he was DONE playing games and broke my water.
In a daze we went into the hospital at about 5:30pm August 10, 2011, and with flashbacks of my 27 hour pit labor with my oldest with no epidural, I opted to get one right away, and fell asleep while the pitocin started to re-instate the progress of my labor. Eleven hours later I woke up to this really uncomfortable feeling, and realized i needed to push... at 5:32 am, August 11, 2011, my football boy was born weight 7lb 2oz and 19 inches long. He had a full head of dark hair, in a MOHAWK. (can you say SCREWED??). He was a burst of energy from the get-go, and had daddy wrapped the moment he saw him. And.. his theme song has always been... Vanilla Ice... Brice Brice Baby.. dun dun dun duh duh dun dun... He loves: Puppies, Balls, Music, Veggie Tales, FOOD, juice, water, and huge slides!
**I will update the photos with his Birthday photos when we have his party once my mom arives <3
