So, everyone knows about Cloth diapers. We've done this for 3 (I sorta used to have a step daughter.. ((more like.. I sorta babysat this girl every once in a while for her crazy mom)) ) kids now. 3! Only one full time for 2 years though.. just the one.
We started with G-diapers for Aiden when he was 18 months old. Why? Honestly.. I saw them in Babies R Us and thought they were ADORABLE! They only came in Green, Orange, and Vanilla then.. and I was soo excited! He potty trained so quickly.. unfortunately.. the child care he was in wouldn't potty train that young. Whomp Whomp.
Then I bought flips for that girl i sorta used to have as a step-daughter, because she had allergies to regular diapers.
When we were expecting Brice, I knew I had to cloth him. HAD to. Early potty-training AND no crazy rashes. Yup. Sold.
I started him in these super tiny premie size covers I made, with just a small trifolded piece of birdseye... (AKA cut in HALF then trifolded)
Once he was too large for that, he graduated to a slew of TONS of kinds, before we settled on G-diapers and Flips still being our favorites, with prefolds and Thirsties/econobums also in our stash.
Our 2 year old has been showing interest in the potty.. and showing signs of when he is going... so I regretibly put him in those paper pull-ups. Quickly we realized why we love cloth in the first place (those things are THIN and just horrid... those pull-up things..) AND.. he stopped showing interest.
He could FILL a pull up and not have a care in the world.. he didn't even FEEL wet. Bleck. Your gross pull-ups... GROSS.
So, now I'm in the market for CLOTH TRAINERS.
Heres the thing.. I have NO idea which ones I want to try.
Anyone have a good suggestion? I'm going to do full reviews on each one we try, so go ahead and throw out your suggestions on which trainers we should get!
P.S I already have Econobums!
OH.. should I add the fun part?! ALL You have to do is comment with a Cloth Trainer TYPE below... and I will submit you into a drawing for a SURPRISE prize.
Yup.
When will I draw the name?
October 26th.
P.S.S. YOU WILL LOVE the prize. I garuntee it. (No.. it's not from mens warehouse :P)
I'm using Best Bottom Trainers I ordered from nickisdiapers.com. They have a 15 day use-wash-return policy on ALL their cloth diapers so you can use them, wash them, and return them if you don't like them. I love the Best Bottom trainers...they have different kinds of soakers but the one's that come in the set with the trainers have the most adorable prints and are made so that the child can feel when they are wet!
ReplyDeleteHope you like them as much as I do...they do run a little small so order with that in mind...Lucas is 31 lbs and has a small waist and wears a large.
